ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT

This statement was last updated on 22nd February 2026.
We at The Continuum Collective are dedicated to making our online directory accessible to people with disabilities.

Our Commitment to Accessibility

The Continuum Collective (TCC) is committed to making our website and digital services accessible to everyone, including persons with disabilities. An accessible site allows individuals to navigate and interact with content with ease and independence, whether they use a keyboard, mouse, screen reader, switch device or other assistive technology. We strive to design, build and maintain a digital experience that is inclusive and aligned with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) as referenced by Singapore’s Digital Service Standards. We aim to meet Level AA compliance, which covers the core principles of being perceivable, operable, understandable and robust.

Accessibility Standards and Practices

To achieve and maintain a high standard of accessibility, we follow these practices:

  1. Conformance with WCAG. We use WCAG 2.1 Level AA as our benchmark and apply its guidelines to our design and development processes. This includes providing text alternatives for non‑text content, ensuring sufficient colour contrast for text and images, and making all functionality available from a keyboard.

  2. Structured and Clear Content. Our pages are organised using logical heading structures, labels and lists to support screen reader navigation and keyboard users. We set the language of each page so assistive technologies can read text correctly.

  3. Alternative Text for Images. Images include descriptive alternative text, helping users who rely on screen readers to understand visual information. Decorative images are marked appropriately so they are skipped by assistive technologies.

  4. Colour Contrast and Visual Design. We test colour combinations with recognised tools to achieve high contrast ratios, supporting visitors with low vision. We avoid using colour as the sole means of conveying information and offer sufficient space and font sizes for readability.

  5. Motion Reduction and Media Accessibility. Moving and flashing content is kept to a minimum, and we offer options to reduce motion where feasible. Captions, transcripts or subtitles are provided for multimedia content, and we strive to ensure downloadable files (e.g., PDFs, videos) are accessible.

  6. Forms and Interactive Elements. Our forms include clearly labelled fields and instructions. Errors are described in text, and users can navigate using a keyboard alone.

  7. Ongoing Monitoring. We regularly audit the site with automated tools and manual reviews, guided by accessibility checklists. We incorporate feedback to improve usability and address issues promptly.

Partial Conformance and Third‑Party Content

While we take comprehensive steps to make our own content accessible, some third‑party elements—such as plug‑ins, external vendor pages and embedded services—are outside our direct control. These components may not fully meet our accessibility goals. When possible, we work with our partners to improve accessibility and provide alternative means of accessing the same information or services. If you encounter inaccessible content in these areas, please contact us and we will assist with alternative arrangements.

Physical Events and Offline Accessibility

TCC operates primarily online, but we may host physical events. When organising events, we consider accessibility arrangements such as accessible parking, ramp access, signage, service counters and seating. Event materials will be provided in accessible formats upon request. Participants who require additional accommodations should contact us in advance so we can make necessary arrangements.

Ongoing Commitment and Updates

Accessibility is an ongoing process. We are committed to continuous improvement and will update this statement to reflect changes in standards, technology or our services. If we introduce new features that change the way we collect or present information, we will ensure accessibility considerations are incorporated from the outset. This statement will be reviewed annually or whenever significant changes are made to the site.
